Fine Mughal work, an earlier example than usually encountered. Finely wrought of wootz steel, the hemispherical bowl with raised panels with gold-inlaid vinework borders, the spike finial with pierced border, captured nasal bar, the circular terminals with en suite pierced borders and plume tubes, all elaborately embellished with gold inlaid vinework. Retains its camail of very fine steel and brass rings wrought in geometrical patterns. 17th-18th century. Light wear. Height 53cm/ 20.85?. Condition II
