With large, faceted steel pommel and prominent button, the grip retaining its original steel wire wrap and turkshead knots, the broad steel guard with thumb ring and characteristic rolled, flared and fluted quillon terminals. The broad, straight, blade with short fuller at the forte, tapering to an obtuse tip. Latter 16th century. Minor wear, cleaned. Overall length 53cm / 20 7/8?. Condition II
