Of characteristic straight, double-edged form with pronounced central rib and acute point characteristic of the Luristan culture of west central Iran. Spike tang with curled terminal and bifurcate ferrule would originally have been fitted with a wooden haft. With deep green patination overall. C. 1600-1200 b.c.e. Overall length 36.3cm/ 14 1/3?. Very good excavated condition. Condition II
