Latter Edo Period, with horn fuchi and kashira and tan tsuka ito, the shakudo menuki with gold. The signed sukashi tsuba with leaves and stalks. In its crimson lacquered saya, the signed kogatana with copper grip inlaid with gold, with silver two-piece habaki. The blade with very active grain and exceptionally fine, dramatic and rare temperline on both the hasaki and the mune. The tang signed KYOTO JU OKOCHI TSUNEHIRA and dated 1913 (Taisho Ox year.) In its storage bag, with recent NPO NTHK papers. Very slight wear, saya rubbed and chipped. Overall length 89.8cm / 33.75? nagasa 59.6cm / 23.46? Condition I
